Prospecting is the name of the game once again. To be successful in this market (which you certainly can be), you must prospect for buyers and motivated sellers. Back to the basic:
- Sphere of Influence – update your sphere and add to it everyday
- Work expireds – Most sellers have their properties overpriced if they need to sell they will get it priced right.
- Work FSBO – it has never been a herder market for a “for sale by owner” to be successful.
- Educate yourself about short sales and foreclosures – they will be around for years to come and you must list and sell distressed properties to be really outstanding in the current market.
You must be aggressive in educating yourself about the current market and how to be successful through prospecting. There are a multitude of educational opportunities available to each of you through your local Association of Realtors and the internet. Take advantage of these opportunities now and in 2018 and I promise you will have a successful year in real estate.
