Unemployment continues to drop (with one exception)

Virginia’s statewide unemployment rate is officially 5.3%^*, having dropped to the lowest level since December 2008. The Charlottesville metropolitan area is the only region that didn’t see an increase in jobs.

 

^*We’ve explained before how this isn’t actual unemployment, which is higher. Regardless, unemployment is down.
